Coronavirus: Middletown Offers Printable Ballot Applications

MIDDLETOWN, RI — Middletown is offering residents the chance to print out applications for an absentee ballot for the upcoming presidential primary. Residents can go here and print out a ballot, and either mail it back to town hall or drop it off in the tax payment box at town hall, and a ballot will be mailed to you.

Once you have registered to vote you must submit a mail ballot application. You must complete a mail ballot application for each individual election you wish to vote in.

On Tuesday evening, the board voted six to one to request that Raimondo move the date from April 28 to June 2.

After the Rhode Island Board of Elections voted to delay the state's presidential primary until June, Secretary of State Nellie Gorbea said she is "concerned" about rescheduling, but will respect the decision if Governor Gina Raimondo changes the date."

I was pleased to see the Board of Elections support my recommendation that Rhode Island hold a predominantly mail ballot Presidential Preference Primary so that we can ensure a safe and secure election during the COVID-19 pandemic," Gorbea said in a statement. "This measure protects the health and safety of voters and election workers."
