Birding 101

Part 1: Wednesday, July 13 (5:30-6:30pm)
Part 2: Saturday, July 16 (8-9am)

This is a two part class. In Part 1: Confused about which binoculars you should be using? Having trouble using your field guide? This presentation will help resolve these issues, as well as teach you how to look for and "see" birds successfully in the field. Learn how to quickly zero in on field marks that are essential for bird identification. This class is suitable for older teens and adults.
Part 2: After learning about bird watching during the first part of this series, put your new skills to use! This hour-long guided hike will take you through several different habitats along our trails as you search for birds. Attendees are encouraged to bring binoculars. This class is suitable for older teens and adults.
