It's summer in Rhode Island, meaning trips to the beach! But we aren't the only ones that missed the sands under our toes - our summer resident, the piping plover has also returned. You may have noticed the roped off areas and signs on many beaches in the state. Come learn more about this bird and why people go to great lengths to protect it. This program will start with a presentation indoors and conclude with a walk of the Norman Bird Sanctuary beach property learning about whom we share our beaches with and looking for signs of the piping plover.
