Local artist and surfer Janice Causey will be showing new works through the month of August at the Endless Wave Surf Shop, 148 Bellevue Ave. Newport.
Causey, a retired art teacher has been working "outside the box" in her latest paintings, making canvases in unusual shapes such as octagons and pentagons. This series focuses on ocean waves and she uses a mix of acrylic, oil and spray paints to capture the surfer's moment of being "in the tube."
The show is opening on Thursday August 11th from 6-10pm. Everyone is invited to meet the artist and enjoy the new work.
