Starting with events Thursday, a round-up of the best bets to keep you and your family entertained this weekend.

The weekend revs up tonight with two great benefit events to help out Middletown students and the environment. The spirit of giving continues Friday and Saturday with events to benefit Looking Upwards on Friday night and the Healing Co-Op on Saturday. Plus there's more great events on Saturday and Sunday offering fun for the whole family.
Thursday
Where/When: on Thursday, April 7 at 6 p.m.
Why Go: Join fellow earth lovers for Green Drinks Newport at the newly renovated Potter & Co. featuring speakers Ted Clement of the and Kristin Littlefield, Clean City Coordinator for Newport. Potter & Co. will donate 25 percent of proceeds to the ALT.
Pricing: Free admission; Cash bar.
Where/When: Oceancliff on Thursday, April 7 from 6 to 9 p.m.
Why Go: Enjoy an unlimited sampling of food and wine from local vendors to benefit the music departments of Rogers, Middletown High School, and Portsmouth High School.

Friday
- LOOKING UPWARDS' COMPASSION FILM FESTIVAL
Where/When: The Jane Pickens Theater, on Friday, April 8 at 6 p.m.
Why Go: In collaboration with Video & Vision of Newport, a group with and without disabilities wrote the screenplay, acted it out and produced a film on the subject of compassion.
Pricing: $10.
Saturday
Where/When: on Saturday, April 9 at 8 p.m.
Why Go: Â Award winning singer/songwriter Rosemary Phelan will perform accompanied by Jason LaPrade.
Pricing: $25 at the door; $20 in advance
Where/When: on Saturday, April 9 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Why Go: The MHS Class of 2012 will host a spring pancake breakfast featuring an egg hunt at 11 a.m. and a special visit from the Easter Bunny. Be sure to bring your camera for the photo opportunities.
Pricing: $6 adults; $4 children
Sunday
- TEA & PEDIGREE
Where/When: on Sunday, April 10 from 2 to 4 p.m.
Why Go: Â Ladies of all ages are invited to tour the downstairs of the manor house and enjoy crafts, a demonstration on doggie manners with a special guest, as well as a lesson in proper tea etiquette. This is all in homage to the past dog shows that took place at Glen Manor.
Pricing: $25; Reservations required.
Where/When: on Sunday, April 10 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Why Go: More than 40 artists will be offering their handmade wares including jewelry, stained glass, pottery, woodwork, and much more.
