General admission to the  will be free for all visitors on Tuesday, June 12, in honor of the 100th anniversary of the Museum's 1912 charter.
Tours of the institution's historic buildings and new summer exhibitions will be offered throughout the day, along with free gallery activities and light refreshments. Gallery activities include a "Griswold House Hunt," which sends young participants in search of art, decor and architectural details in the Museum's 19th century main building, and "I am an Artist" drawing kits.Â

Current exhibitions include "From Pennsylvania to Paradise: William Trost Richards, Harrison Morris and the Art Association of Newport," "ReCollections/ReConnections II," "Making a Mark: The Art of Creating a Visual Identity - Malcolm Grear Designers," and "Joan Backes: Home."
