Get Out: Rock, Walk, Read and Get Your Irish On

How about a good dose of Irish fun, rock show, book fair, career fair, and guided bird hike this weekend? Three events are free, two are just $5, and one rockin' good time for only $15 benefits the Women & Infants Hospital Breast Health Center.

  Where/When:  Ice Rink on Saturday, March 5 at 4 p.m.
  Why Go: Clap and applaud for local "Learn to Skate" students as they show off their new moves.
  Pricing: $5

  Where/When: Firehouse Theater on Friday and Saturday, March 4-5 at 8 p.m.
  Why Go: The Bit Players Comedy Improv Troupe will perform with an emphasis on Blarney and leprechauns.
  Pricing: $15; $5 off when you mention Irish Heritage Month.

  Where/When: One Pelham East in Newport on Saturday, March 5 at 1 p.m.
  Why Go: Five bands will perform for an event organized by Portsmouth High School senior Sydney Manning as her senior project to benefit the Women & Infants Hospital Breast Health Center in Middletown.
  Pricing: $15; All ages welcome

  Where/When:  on Saturday, March 5 from 1 to 4 p.m.
  Why Go: Used books for $1 with all proceeds going to community children’s centers, senior centers and schools. Refreshments and door prizes will also be offered.

  Why Go: Join Jay Manning for a guided bird walk through the bird sanctuary’s trails. Bring your own binoculars.
