This week's Great Escape: Common Fence Music

Whether it's folk, root or world music that strikes your fancy, promoters at encourage all concertgoers to join in the fun of the "folkie" tailgate before all shows at 933 Anthony Road.

The casual venue and laid-back atmosphere is a wonderful escape from the rigors of the week and only a hop, skip and a jump from anywhere on the island.

Doors open at 7 p.m. on show nights and ticket prices range from $20 to $25.

Tickets for all shows are available through TicketWeb and at the Common Fence Music ticket desk at the community center on concert days from 3 to 8 p.m., and during all concert intermissions.

So pack up the picnic, grab some friends or make some new ones and enjoy some good music this winter.
