Gymnastics Fall Registration

Registration is now open for the fall session. Clases start on September 3rd. They fill out quickly, so stop by the registration office at your earliest convenience. Those who register by Saturday, September 7th, will have a chance to win a free gymnastics session for this coming winter.

Gym with Parent
Gym class for ages 1 - 2 with a parent.
45 minutes of climbing, balancing, jumping, and rolling balls. Parent assists child in doing activities explained and demonstrated by instructors.
Gym class for ages 3 - 4 with a parent.
45 minutes of gym class and will have a more structured experience to ready your child for the minis gymnastics classes.

Mini Gymnastics
Gymnastics instruction for ages 3 - 5. Children will accomplish skills, learn gymnastics body positions and develop the listening skills and cooperation necessary for moving up into the gymnastics program. Gymnastics at this level is an enjoyable as well as productive learning experience.

Intermediate Minis
For those children who have taken at least one session of gymnastics and can do a forward roll, log roll, chin up, and knows basic positions but can not yet accomplish a backward roll or a pull-over on bars. Class entrance is by interview only.

Advanced Minis
For children ages 3-5 who are able to perform cartwheels, handstands, bridges, pullover on bars and cast off of bars. Class entrance is by interview only.

Class 1

For children ages 7 to 12 who would like to learn the fundamentals of gymnastics. Each class will begin with basic stretching and warm up followed by basic gymnastics on vault, bars, beam and floor.

Class 1 Advanced

For children ages 4 to 6 that have mastered all of the skills in the Mini's program. Must have attended at least one session of advanced Mini's. This class will be similar to class one, just geared more towards the younger gymnasts. Each class will begin with basic stretching and warm up followed by basic gymnastics on vault bars, beam and floor.

Class 2

For gymnasts who have mastered the basic skills of gymnastics, including: Forward roll, Backward roll, Handstand, and cartwheel on floor. Proper running technique on vault, Pullover on Bars, and lunge/lever on beam.

Class 3

For those gymnasts who have mastered the fundamental of gymnastics and can perform handstand to bridge and round-off on floor. Back hip circle and mill circle on bars. Side handstand and Cross handstand on beam

Beginner Cheer Tumble

For children ages 6 and up who would like to learn the fundamentals of tumbling for cheerleading. Basic jumps will be reviewed, as well as conditioning to help each individual achieve their tumbling goals.

Advanced Cheer Tumble-

For children ages 6 & up that have mastered the forward roll, round-off and back handspring. This class will begin developing running tumbling and saltos.

Boys Beginner

For boys ages 5-12 who would like to learn the fundamentals of gymnastics. Each class will begin with basic stretching and warm up followed by basic gymnastics on the mens events. This includes Rings, Parallel bars, High Bar, pommel horse, floor and vault.

Boys Intermediate

For boys ages 5-12 that have mastered the basic skills in men's gymnastics. This class is by invitation only.

High School Prep

Girls ages 12 & up who are not interested in being on a competitive team, but would like to continue progressing in gymnastics. This class will focus on strength and flexibility as well as gymnastics skills needed for high school competition. Each participate will be given individual assignments and drills to excel at their own pace. You are not required to be on a high school team to participate in this class.

Gymnastics Team (Boys & Girls)

The YMCA gymnastics team is comprised of levels 1-10 as well as all Excel Levels. Team members will work on the skills, conditioning, flexibility and dance for the USA gymnastics compulsory and optional routines. YMCA membership is required for levels 3 and higher. Non-member rates are available for levels 1, 2 and Excel Bronze. Competition is not required but strongly suggested as each individual is a part of the team and it is a great experience. The team does travel to State, Regional and National Competitions.

Adult Open Gymnastics

Supervised open gym for adults. Ages 18 & up. $5.00 walk in fee for members $10.00 for non-members.
