IN PHOTOS: Middletown Soccer On The Turf Great Success Despite The Cold

The Middletown Athletic Booster Club is thrilled to announce that, despite the bitter winds and freezing temperatures this year's annual Soccer On The Turf event was a terrific success.

With 24 teams playing soccer over the course of 12 hours, it was evident that regardless of level of play, participants truly enjoyed their time on the Gaudet Turf Field.  All proceeds from the event went to benefit the Atheltic Programs for Gaudet Middle School and Middletown High School.

Booster Club Vice-President, Tim Brown, released the following statement of gratitude:

I want to thank everyone that participated in the Soccer on the Turf Fundraiser yesterday. It may have been a little cold throughout the day but the turnout was outstanding. The Athletic Boosters really appreciate your support and participation as the funds raised goes directly to the Athletic Director to use on the program as needed. I would really like to recognize several of the groups that went above and beyond the requested donation.
