Indigo Girls Kick Off Sunset Music Series at Newport Yachting Center
The Saturday night concert drew a packed crowd with fans spanning generations.
The Indigo Girls kicked off the Sunset Music Series for the season Saturday night at the Newport Yachting Center.
The Girls played a powerful but more intimate set in the smaller waterfront venue, without the backing of the full band and backup singers typically seen at larger shows, stadiums and music festivals.
Fans spanning generations loved every moment of it; they danced in the aisles and sang along to hits spanning the duo's 20-year career.

"Joking," "Galileo," "Shame On You," and "Closer to Fine" along with hits from more recent years had teen fans to older adults singing along.
