Islanders Crown Stu Braman as Mr. Middletown 2011
The annual competition is a fundraiser for the Middletown High School sophomore class.
In the 2011 Mr. Middletown pageant held before a packed cafeteria at on Monday night, Stu Braman emerged as the crowned winner.
The contestants started off the night strutting their stuff but quickly moved into tougher phases of competition to prove their prowess in musical, singing, and dancing abilities. There were three rounds in the competition. The first cut saw ten semifinalists. The second cut saw five. From that five, Mr. Middletown would be crowned.
The judges scored the first two rounds, while the audience was allowed to vote for the winner in the final round of five.

Joining Braman in the final five were Ryan Leys, Cory Lazo, Julen Barruetbena and Bobby Mey.
In addition to the title of Mr. Middletown 2011, Braman also took home a nice $200 cash prize.

It was a fun, laugh-packed night had by all. Emcee Zoe Simanski did a splendid job introducing the boys all night.
The annual event serves as a fundraiser to benefit the sophomore class.
