Meet Middletown's New Tax Assessor, George Durgin

If you stop in at the Middletown Town Hall, be sure to welcome George Durgin, the new town tax assessor.  Durgin assumed the position about a month ago, and reports that so far it is going pretty well.  

He said that the new property assessments should be arriving within a month via mail, so any residents with questions or who wish to file an appeal, can contact his office.  

Some Fun Facts about Durgin:

• Durgin was born in East Providence
• He is a Rogers High School graduate
• His wife's name is Marianne
• He has five children, ages 14-23 years old
• Durgin owned his own appraisial company for 18 years
• he coaches basketball and soccer
• for fun, he enjoys camping
