Middletown Police: Text Messages Can Wait
Middletown police are cracking down on motorists who text behind the wheel after some serious accidents related to distracted driving.

MIDDLETOWN, RI—Police are cracking down in February and in March on motorists who text and drive. According to Lt. Jason Ryan, expect to see enforcement patrols around Middletown, especially in spots where distracted drivers have caused accidents in the past.
Lt. Ryan said the local police are partnering with the state Department of Transportation on the effort.
