Middletown Senior Center Honors 'Star' Volunteers

At a special luncheon held Thursday at the Executive Director Arleen Kaull thanked a group of about 40 volunteers who, she said, tirelessly continue to make it possible for the center to continue operating with such a busy schedule and highly active senior membership year-round.

"We're able to be creative and do all the things we do because of you. I know that and I know all of you know that, but from the bottom of my heart, I wanted to thank you," a teary-eyed Kaull told the group before she presented each volunteer with a special certificate recognizing each as a "star."

As she presented each certificate, Kaull spoke briefly about each volunteer, citing a special talent or skill or deed or funny story about all of them.

Kaull's also read aloud a message she had given on a printed card to each of the seniors.
