Middletown Woman Wins 2019 Miss Rhode Island Crown

MIDDLETOWN, RI — This year's Miss Rhode Island crown was won by Middletown resident this weekend. 20-year-old Molly Andrade took home this year's top prize, succeeding 2018 Miss Rhode Island Alexandra Coppa.

Andrade is a student at Endicott College in Beverly, Massachusetts. She competed in the 2018 pageant and won the Miss Rhode Island Miracle Maker Award and the Highest Ad Sales Award, according to The Newport Daily News.

As the 2019 Miss Rhode Island, Andrade took home an impressive package of prizes, including a $5,000 scholarship, full graduate tuition to Salve Regina University, a $20,000 undergraduate scholarship to Bryant University, renewable up to four years, an all-expense paid trip to this year's Miss America pageant in Atlantic City, New Jersey, gift certificates to local businesses and, of course, the coveted crown and sash.
