Eleven Middletown youth hockey players are representing Rhode Island at the New England Yankee Conference Festival this weekend in Connecticut.

The area youths join an elite group of players from throughout New England for the festival, organized by USA Hockey as a recruiting ground to identify players for the USA Hockey Development Camps.

In the highly competitive selection process, each player made the final cut after three tryouts where they had to outplay, outlast and outskate 40 to 60 other players in their respective competition levels.
