Great news!
The Middletown High School Varsity Boys and Girls Cross Country teams is back on the docket of athletic offerings for the Middletown 2013-14 athletic year.
The program was originally excluded from this year's lineup as a result of an especially difficult budget year that was met with serious changes when the final budget was submitted.
But thanks to the support of the parents, students, local running club sponsorship, the Middletown Athletic Boosters and the incredible generosity of the people of Middletown, our athletes will be seen running proudly wearing Middletown Blue in Interscholastic League competion.
Newly appointed Athletic Director, Karren Massaro, shared with supporters, "I am so proud to be a part of a community that continually and consistently supports our kids. Way to go!"
Followed by Superintendent, Rosemarie Kraeger, who added in support, "Let me add my thanks to all. I am really overwhelmed with the level of support from the community. We are Middletown GREAT! Thank you."
Congratulations to our athletes and our community for helping to, as the Middletown Athletic Boosters often say, "keep our kids on the playing field"!
