Newport Woman Registers .371 BAC after DUI Crash in Middletown
Police said the 42-year-old had a blood alcohol reading more than four times the legal limit.

MIDDLETOWN, RI—A 42-year-old Newport woman is facing charges of driving under the influence after she a crash in Middletown on Thursday night.
Police said Kathryn Workman failed a field sobriety test at the scene of the crash near at the intersection of Valley Road and Green End Avenue in Middletown.
She later registered .368 and .371 blood alcohol readings in two preliminary breath tests at police headquarters, more than four time the legal limit, police said.

Workman was released on personal recognizance and is due to return to court on March 4.
Police said nobody was hurt in the two-car crash.
