Obituary: Patrick J. Roche Jr., 85, Loved Music, Theater, Volunteering

Patrick J. Roche, 85, of Middletown, died Sunday, July 27, 2014 at Village House Nursing Home Newport, RI.

Born in, on July 12, 1929, in Dorchester, MA, he was the son of the late Patrick J. and Ellen M. (Holmes) Roche.

Patrick loved music, Community Theater, and was a wonderfully welcoming person. He always had a smile for anyone. He was a very active volunteer at the Sachuest Point National Wildlife Refuge in Middletown.

He is survived by his companion Jack Lewis of White Hall Farm in Middletown, RI, his two sons Gregory Roche of Cape Cod, MA, and Ryan Roche of Fall River, MA, his brother John Patrick Roche of Barrington, IL, and his two sisters Anna Campbell of Weymouth, MA, and Kathleen Esinhart of Tampa, FL.

His memorial service will be held on Thursday July 31, 2014, in 10:00am at St. Columba’s, the Berkeley Memorial Chapel, 55 Vaucluse Avenue Middletown, RI 02842.
Burial will be private.
