Peabody's Beach Reopened to Swimming
Bacteria levels are once again within acceptable limits.

Peabody’s Beach is reopened to swimming after water samples show that bacteria levels are now within acceptable limits, according to the state Department of Health.
The beach was closed to swimming last week after heavy rainfalls earlier in the week. Also closed briefly was Third Beach, but that was reopened on Friday.
Beach status can change on a day-to-day basis. For up-to-date information about swimming at Rhode Island beaches, go to the department’s website atwww.health.ri.gov/beaches or for recorded information about RI bathing beaches call (401) 222-2751.
