Police Track Threats Against Middletown Family to Unknown Woman after Year-Long Investigation
Police are trying to identify a woman who has been calling to threaten and harass a MIddletown family for more than a year.
MIDDLETOWN, RI—A Middletown family has been threatened and harassed by a woman for more than a year, according to police, and detectives are turning to the public in the hopes of getting a break in the case.
The investigation has been going on for about a year, police said. Investigators now believe they have pictures of a woman who has been threatening and harassing the family.
Police said in the threats, the woman "mentioned harm would come to the victim and family."

The calls were reportedly placed from various locations, including pay phones. One was used at a 7-Eleven at 270 Broad Street in Providence across from Classical High School.
Police said the investigation also revealed that the woman "may frequent or reside in the downtown area of Providence, possibly Pine Street or Broad Street."

Police on Wednesday released images of the suspect walking out of the Amtrak station in Providence about a year ago.
They show her wearing sneakers, a vest, hooded sweatshirt, glasses and carrying a Macy's shopping bag.
