Projo.com: Judge Awards Former High School Counselor Nearly $300K

Projo.com has reported that former Middletown guidance counselor and Portsmouth resident Rosemary Davidson has been awarded $297,000 for lost wages and legal fees in a recent court settlement.

Superior Court Judge Melanie W. Thunberg found that the teachers union failed to hold hearings for Davidson to keep her job after retiring in 2006, according to Projo.com. 

Davidson, a John F. Kennedy Elementary School guidance counselor, had retired in 2006, but sought to keep her job after her husband died a month before she was scheduled to step down.
