This weekend is a long holiday weekend, so we've made this a slightly longer list:
- The special advance discount for $5 off the ticketed prices for the upcoming Chowder Cook-Off next week ends today.
- Like improv? Check out the Bit Players on Friday nights.
- Tai Chi practice sessions are held Fridays at 8 a.m at the until the May flies become too pesky and sessions move beachside. For more information, contact Cheryl Foster at 401-849-6221.
- Need a laugh? “Bridesmaids” is one hilarious chick-flick. Also out this weekend and playing locally are the highly anticipated sequels to "The Hangover," "Pirates" and "Kung Fu Panda." Get showtimes.
- Despite the recent pavilion fire, the Newport Rotary Club's annual polo benefit match will go on this weekend on Glen Farm at 5 p.m. Saturday, May 28. Hosted by the Newport Polo Club, the match's home team Newport plays against a regional challenger in a classic six-chukker dual. All sale proceeds of the day support the Rotary’s many scholarship and charitable programs. Click here for more info.
