Thursday: Santa Pajama Storytime and Guys Night Out

A look at what's happening in and around Middletown today.

  1. will host a with a visit from Santa from 5 to 8 p.m. tonight. Santa arrives at 5:30 p.m., and there will be holiday crafts and free cookies for the kids in the café. Barnes & Noble will also be donating a portion of the proceeds of to the Silveria Nursery School playground improvement fund.
  2. It’s at the ’s Critter Glitter sale tonight. Men can enjoy the assistance of personal shoppers and free gift wrapping on their purchases of Sequin jewelry at 80 percent off, along with beer and bites and door prizes. All proceeds benefit the Potter League.
  3. The Bellevue Avenue Business Association will host its today from 4 to 7 p.m. Look for balloons on William Street, Bellevue Avenue, and Mill Street, which will mark the participating businesses. Drinks, desserts, and deals will be served while carolers stroll the avenue, and Santa will make an appearance too.
  4. Tonight is , with dozens of galleries staying open late and offering refreshments as well as restaurants offering deals to Gallery Night attendees. For a complete list of participating business, click here.
  5. Pat Perry will present at the Edward King House at 1 p.m. Admission is $3 for members or $5 for non-members.
