Here's a look at what's happening in and around Middletown today.
First off, we know many of you want to go green today, so be sure to check out this week's Patch Picks for awesome St. Patrick's Day hot-spots. Beyond the festivities, here's a look at what's happening in the community today:
- Family Reading Night for Aquidneck School families will be held at 5:30 p.m.Â
- The Chamber of Commerce's Women in Business Brown Bag Luncheon, an informal networking get-together for women, happens from 12 to 1:30 p.m.Â
- At 6 p.m. celebrate with the Ancient Order of Hibernians to toast their Hibernian of the Year in Newport.
- The Fluke Wine Bar and Kitchen in Newport tonight is the site of a special fundraiser and three-course dinner to benefit the Norman Bird Sanctuary to enrich its environmental education programs.
- Today at 6 p.m., the Middletown Public Schools Budget Committee will hold a workshop at 6 p.m., prior to the regularly scheduled School Committee meeting at 7 p.m.Â
