Middletown's headlining event this weekend is the arrival of the on Turner Road when the Pats Alumni play flag football against the Middletown High School Freshman Football Team.
The team findraiser kick-off is at 6 p.m. Saturday night and the Pats will stick around afterwards to sign autographs.

Rosencrantz & Guildenstern are Dead (Newport)
"Rosencrantz & Guildenstern are Dead" takes the stage at Salve Regina University at the Stanford White Casino Theatre, 9 Freebody St., behind the International Tennis Hall of Fame in Newport. Regular performances are Fri., Nov. 5, and Sat., Nov. 6, at 8 p.m. and Sun., Nov. 7, at 3 p.m. Tickets $15; $10 Salve Regina faculty/staff and military, seniors; $7 students. Newport Restaurant Week (Newport)
Newport kicks off Newport Restaurant Week this Friday, Nov. 5, with almost 50 restaurants participating in the Newport and Bristol area. Newport Restaurant Week features a "three-course prix fixe." Restaurants go easy on diner's wallets by offering a three-course lunch for $16 and three-course dinner for $30.

Saturday Only10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Race for Open Space 5K Run & Walk (Portsmouth)
This scenic, cross-country 5-kilometer race on Aquidneck Land Trust's Sakonnet Greenway Trail is a unique and exciting addition to the local race circuit. Though not allowed in the running category, leashed dogs and strollers are welcome in the walking category of the race. Entry fee is $20 with proceeds from the race directed towards further construction and maintenance of the Sakonnet Greenway Trail, the largest nature trail on Aquidneck Island. 6 p.m. MHS Freshman Football to Take On New England Patriots Alumni 
On Saturday, Nov. 6, 2010 with kick-off at 6 p.m., the Middletown High School Freshman Football Team will get the experience of a lifetime when they square off against New England Patriots alumni in a flag football game. All the money collected at the gate raises funds for the team.

Chocolate Brunch at Easton's Beach
The Visiting Nurse Services of Newport and Bristol Counties will hold a Chocolate Brunch this Sunday, Nov. 7, from noon to 3 p.m. at Easton's Beach Rotunda, 175 Memorial Boulevard, Newport. The event will feature savory traditional and contemporary brunch entrees, sumptuous chocolate confections and ocean views. Food will be provided by Russell Morin Fine Catering.
