Well-Read Frogs, Bird Tales, Family Yoga and More

Your Middletown weekend planner is ready to go. Just add kids!

We know the winter has been long and spring can't get here fast enough, but here are some fun activities regardless of how dreary and gray the weekend might turn out:

  • WELL-READ FROGS
    Where/When: on Thursday, March 3 at 4 p.m.
    Why Go: Join author Melissa Stewart for a presentation of her book, “A Place for Frogs.”

  • Where/When:  on Thursday, March 3 from 4 to 5 p.m.
    Why Go: Enjoy an hour of  creative fun with Groovy Gator owner and artist Leslie Cathers. All materials included.

  • “NAMASTE!” FAMILY YOGA CELEBRATION
    Where/When: Bristol Yoga Studio on Friday, March 4 5:30 to 6:15 p.m.
    Why Go: Join Christopher Kavi Carbone for an introductory yoga class
    geared for the whole family including creative movement, playing with fun music, kid-friendly yoga poses, and relaxation and imagination exercises.

  • BIRD TALES
    Where/When: Norman Bird Sanctuary on Saturday, March 5 from 10 to
    11 a.m.
    Why Go: Keep the kids entertained at this interactive story hour that will feature a theme of Native Tales followed by either a discovery hike, craft or meeting of an animal.
    Pricing: $3 for members; $5 for non-members; Pre-registration is required two days in advance.
  • Where/When: Salve Regina University on Saturday, March 5 from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
    Why Go: An enchanted garden of books featuring children’s discovery rooms, a petting zoo, author and illustrator workshops, and book sales and signings.
