On Your Left Triathlon Headed To Sachuest Beach In Middletown
The Sept. 8 event acts as the official state triathlon championships for high school age groups.

MIDDLETOWN, RI β On Your Left Racing will be headed to Sachuest Beach in Middletown on Sept. 8 for the Newport Sprint/Olympic Triathlon & Aquabike. The event is the USA Triathlon state championship for high school age groups.
The event includes a three different opportunities to compete. The Sprint is a half-mile swim, 10.6-mile bike ride and 5-kilometer run. The Olympic is a 0.9-mile swim, 21.2-mile bike ride and 10K run. The Aquabike is a 0.9-mile swim and 21.2 mile bike ride.
On Your Left Racing will be donating a portion of the proceeds from the Newport Triathlon to Clean Ocean Access.

The Olympic race begins with a swim in Sachuest Bay, a two-loop bike race through Middletown and Portsmouth with the run concluding back at Second Beach.
There will be a raffle to win a brand new 2018 Jeep Wrangler with funds raised going toward cancer research. Sponsors include: Core Financial Partners, NPT Healthworks, Southcoast Health, Southeast Rehabilitation Associates, Flatwaves food shack, 24 Auto Group and TB12 Sports.
