$10,000 PowerBall Ticket Sold in Newport

If you bought a PowerBall ticket from the Cumberland Farms at 125 Broadway recently, give it a second look.

The Rhode Island Lottery Commission said a $10,000 winning ticket for Wednesday night’s drawing was sold there.

The winning numbers were 25-28-48-57-59 with a PowerBall of 16.

The ticket in question matched four numbers and the PowerBall.

Another winning ticket was sold in Warwick, the lottery commission said in a release. The person who bought that ticket paid an extra dollar for the PowerPlay feature, which multiplied the prize by three for a total of $30,000.

Saturday’s estimated PowerBall drawing is $159 million.
