The Newport Community School (NCS), a growing non profit organization providing academic social service support and expanded learning opportunities to middle and high school youth, family support programs as well as adult learners in the City of Newport, seeks qualified individuals to fill the following immediate position vacancies.

PROGRAM COORDINATOR-middle school program site to manage site-wide operations of all academic, enrichment and extended learning opportunities and social/emotional programming; paying critical attention to the oversight of the program's part time employees/academic teachers/program providers, student enrollment/participation, data management and community partners. The Program Coordinator's position is a full-time (12 months) position, compensation is competitive. A Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Services and/or related field preferred along with middle and high school grade level youth development program and family engagement experience. PROGRAM ASSISTANT - Assist with the general daily operations of NCS's youth programming by checking students in/out f program areas, supervising groups of students, attending field trips, general office functions. The Program Assistant position is a part-time position, hourly compensation is competitive. BUS DRIVER - fixed route within the city limits of the City of Newport. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age. Demonstrate knowledge of principles related to safe school bus driving and the safety of all passengers. Must maintain all required licenses for safe operations of school buses (Rhode Island School Bus License with all necessary endorsements required - CDL-School Bus endorsement). Maintain a safe driving record that is verified through periodic background checks, knowledge of school bus maintenance preferred.
