6 Rhode Island Harbors Named Best In The Country: Marinas.com

NEWPORT, RI — Six Rhode Island harbors were named the best of the best by boaters themselves in 2019. Newport, Jamestown, Wakefield and more were named 2019 "Elite Fleet Winners" in Marinas.com's Boater's Choice category.

Rhode Island harbors represented just over 10 percent of the 55 marinas included on the list. To reach the elite fleet status, the marina must maintain a rating of at least 4.8 stars and receive no less than 10 reviews over the course of the year.

"The Elite Fleet tier of Boaters’ Choice marinas represent the marinas that went above and beyond to delight boaters in 2019," the website said. The following Rhode Island harbors were included in the list, in no particular order:

• Dutch Harbor Boat Yard, Jamestown
• Bristol Yacht Club, Bristol
• Ballard's Marina, Block Island
• Wickford Marina, Wickford
• Bowen's Wharf, Newport
• Newport Yachting Center Marina, Newport
