After Alleged Murders, Aaron Hernandez Rented a Scooter in Newport

"He didn't seem bothered at all," said Tom Welby, owner of Scooter World in an interview with NECN.

Aaron Hernandez strolled into Scooter World in Newport and was goofing around and having a grand 'ole time when he rented scooters and jet-skis on July 20 of 2012 — just four days after he allegedly murdered two men outside a nightclub in Boston.

"He didn't seem bothered at all," said Tom Welby, owner of Scooter World in an interview with NECN.

Welby said Hernandez came with an entourage of friends and they rented the scooters for a few days. He reportedly lost a key to one of teh scooters and came back two days later and apologized "profusely," NECN reported.

Welby, who moved a signed photo of Hernandez from the main part of his store to the bathroom after the former Patriots tight end was charged for allegedly murdering Odin Lloyd, said he was stunned that Hernandez could have killed two people and then came to Newport and "had a blast."
