Air Force Awards Flying Cross to Aviator

Air Force Maj. Ethan E. Sabin was decorated with a Distinguished Flying Cross medal on Dec. 13.

NEWPORT, RI—Gen. David L. Goldfein, chief of staff of the Air Force, on Dec. 13 awards Air Force Maj. Ethan E. Sabin with a Distinguished Flying Cross medal.

Sabin was honored for his acts of heroism to the United States as an A-10C pilot, 354th Expeditionary Fighter Squadron, 451st Expeditionary Operations Group, 451st Air Expeditionary Wing, Kandahar, Afghanistan on Oct. 5, 2009.
