Newport Double Shooting: 1 Wanted On Warrant, 1 Wanted For Questioning: Cops

One man has a warrant out for his arrest and another is wanted for questioning, police said.

NEWPORT, RI — Police identified a man charged with Sunday night's gun attack in Park Holm that left two with bullet wounds to their "lower extremities"

Tyquan Johnson, 19, was charged with felony assault with a firearm and firing in a compact area in connection with the shooting near the corner of Truman Street and Rosedale Avenue, the Newport Police Department said in a media release.

Johnson is a resident of Hampton, Virginia, according to police.

Police are also attempting to identify an individual caught on surveillance footage.

Police want to "speak" with the individual "in relation to the double shooting," according to the release.
