Are We Outside? Or Inside? Exhibit Opens at Redwood Library

The opening reception is Wednesday, March 22, at 5 p.m. at the library on Bellevue Avenue.

NEWPORT, RI—Boston artist Kevin Dacey photographs "cultural spaces such as museums and libraries," the Redwood Library says, and he's been at it for more than a decade. His picture create fluid "surfaces of reflection that dissolve the boundaries between outside and in: between nature and culture, between reality and its multiple refractions."

He's starting a yearlong residency at the Redwood, and he has taken some photographs of inside and outside here.

This exhibit presents "Dacey's initial meditations on the ins and outs of this eighteenth-century institution."
