Athlete of the Week: Dan Vieira

Athlete of the Week: Dan Vieira - nominated by Athletic Director Jim Cawley.

Senior Dan Vieira led the varsity baseball team to a 11-1 mercy victory over Davies Career and Technical School of Lincoln. The game was called after five innings.

“This was the first league victory since 2009 or about 29 games. So this was big for Dan and the rest of the Varsity Team,” said Cawley.

This week in sports: 

• The golf team had their first win this season against Tiverton by fpour strokes.
• The girls softball team won their first game this season against St. Rays of Pawtucket.
• The sailing team beat Barrington 3-1. Barrington won the first race but Rogers came back strong with three straight wins.

• The boys track team beat Shay and St. Raphael's.
• The girls also beat Shay and St. Raphael's but lost to St. Mary's - Bay View.
