Beach Boys Sign on to Newport Concert Series
First time the band has played in Newport in five years.
The Beach Boys will be surfing into the Newport Concert Series at the Newport Yachting Center this summer.
The band will perform on Aug. 16 and they go on sale at noon on Thursday.
It's the first time they've been to Newport in five years.
Since their explosive debut 50 years ago, The Beach Boys have sold albums by the tens of millions while forever changing the landscape of music by influencing nearly every pop artist who has followed. The groupβs latest Capitol Records release, βSounds of Summerβ and its companion, βThe Warmth of the Sun,β marks resurgence in Beach Boys interest that has again rocked the world of music.

The Beach Boys are led by Mike Love and Bruce Johnston, who along with Christian Love, Randell Kirsch, Tim Bonhomme, John Cowsill, and Scott Totten continue the iconic bandβs legacy. This tour does not feature Brian Wilson, Al Jardine or David Marks.
