For the 2nd consecutive year, Rhode Island Slave History Medallions (RISHM.org) will host the very popular Newport Black History Walking Tours. Join our trained historian tour guides on weekend mornings from May 24 - Oct. 26 to walk Historic Hill and learn about "Stories of Resistance & Freedom" of many of the enslaved African-American and Indigenous people who lived and worked in Colonial Newport. You will walk in their footsteps and learn their untold stories. Tours meet on Saturdays & Sundays (& holiday Mondays 5/26, 9/1, & 10/13) at 10 am near the Pilot House on Bowen's Wharf. www.rishm.org
