FRIDAY MAY 15, 2026, is Bike To Work Day 🚲❤️🚲. In the morning, bike commuters are greeted by Bike Newport and RIPTA outside City Hall for commuter breakfast snacks and swag. In the afternoon, we get together again for bike-friendly news, the awarding of the Bicycle Friendly Business of the Year, and a group ride on the new bike path to end the day at Newport Craft Brewery.

*5:00 Group Ride along the new bike path to Newport Craft Brewery

Live too far or over the bridge?
If you can’t roll out directly from home, consider taking your bike on the bus or driving into town – and then pop on your bike!
RIDOT/RIPTA Park & Bike lot – just off the Pell Bridge, this multimodal lot is serviced by RIPTA lines 14 and 24L. Adjacent to the lot is the short and scenic 3/4 mile shared use path to ride into downtown Newport
