Call Him Campaign Manager Jerry Scott: Kim Ripoli Says

NEWPORT, RI — In Jamestown, people know Jerry Scott as a government watchdog who led the Jamestown Taxpayers Association for years. But now, he has a new title. He's the campaign manager for Kimberly Ripoli, Independent candidate for the District 13 state Senate seat.

Ripoli sent e-mail on Monday announcing her campaign "is pleased to announce the addition of Mr. Jerome Scott of Jamestown as the new Campaign Manager. Mr. Scott's extensive business acumen and position as former president of the Jamestown Taxpayers Association have been a positive boost for all members of my team."

Ripoli is facing Democrat Dawn Euer, Republican Mike Smith and Green Party candidate Gregory Larson in the Aug. 22 election. District 13 includes Jamestown and part of Newport.
