Calling Newport Small Businesses: Tell Us Your Story

Created by American Express, the first Small Business Saturday took place in 2010, and it encouraged people across the country to support small, local businesses. By the following year, the U.S. Senate unanimously passed a resolution to support the day. The idea caught on and grew immensely in the following years, and by 2015, it is estimated that 95 million headed out to shop on Small Business Saturday.

We’re looking for Newport businesses that will be participating in Small Business Saturday.

Have an art gallery? A restaurant? Computer repair store? Coffee shop? Do you make pet collars? If it’s your business, and it’s small, and it’s in Newport, we’d love to feature it here on Patch.
