Carson, Euer Reschedule Constituent Meeting

The meeting was rescheduled due to Newport's gas outage.

NEWPORT, R.I. -- Senator Dawn Euer (D-Dist. 13, Newport, Jamestown) and Rep. Lauren H. Carson (D-Dist. 75, Newport) have rescheduled their planned constituent meeting. The meeting was initially set to be held on January 28, but had to be postponed due to Newport's gas outage.

The meeting will now be held on February 11 at 6 p.m. in the St. John's Guild Hall located at 61 Poplar St. Parking will be available behind the venue in a lot opposite 25 Willow St.

All constituents of House District 75 and Senate District 13 are invited to the event.

Along with the gas outage, Carson and Euer plan to discuss their plans for the 2019 legislative session.

“We’re happy to have this opportunity to connect with our neighbors as the 2019 legislative session gets started," Carson said in a press release. "Senator Euer and I are looking forward to hearing what the people of Newport would like to see us accomplish at the State House, discussing the legislation we plan to introduce and having a conversation about the issues facing the state this year."

“We’d like to encourage all of our constituents in Newport and Jamestown to stop by and chat with us. We are your voice at the State House, and we rely on conversations with you to represent our community and its needs. We want to hear what’s on your minds, and we will listen,” Euer said.
