Central Falls Raid: Drug Suspect Arrested in Newport
An arrest Monday night in Newport led officers from Pawtucket, Central Falls and the Newport Narcotics Unit to an address in Central Falls.

NEWPORT, RI — Police seized a loaded gun and a stash of drugs when they raided a Central Falls apartment on Monday night. According to Central Falls Police, a multi-jurisdictional operation, including Newport, Pawtucket and Central Falls police, conducted the raid and arrested the suspect, Todd Brown, 32, of Central Falls.
Brown was manufacturing cocaine in Central Falls and selling it in Newport, police allege.
Police estimate the cocaine's street value at $3,500. They also seized cash, digital scales, packaging materials, cooking agents, cellular phones, and a loaded .40 caliber firearm.

According to the police report, Brown was arrested in Newport earlier in the evening by members of
the Newport Police Department and the Central Falls Police Department. He allegedly was found with "a large quantity of cocaine and U.S. currency in his possession."
A search warrant was issued for his Central Falls apartment based on "intelligence gathered leading up to Brown’s arrest," police said

He was charged with manufacturing with intent to deliver cocaine (1oz to 1 kilo); possession of a firearm while committing a crime of violence; possession of a firearm by a felon, and maintaining a common nuisance. He was arraigned in Second District Court on the Newport Police Department’s charges and ordered held without bail. He was scheduled to appear in Sixth District Court on charges brought by the Central Falls
Police Department the next morning.
