Charms Of Summer In Newport: Friends Visiting From California
Pet lovers may remember Bubba and Gatsby Perkins, the Frenchies that lit up social media. Gatsby tells Patch that another pal Bella's here.
NEWPORT, RI — It's customary for a Newport host or hostess to entertain house guests in the summer. The pets, it turns out, also like to see pals drop by for a little surfing at Second Beach or something a little more artistic. Gatsby Perkins, the French bulldog, made a splash last summer with his friend Bubba when they took the paddleboards out for a spin at Sachuest. Bubba still might turn up in Newport later. But right now, Gatsby's California girlfriend Bella has arrived for a Newport visit.
They're planning to stroll down Bellevue Avenue and meet a fashion designer, Carla Panaggio Souza, of the Newport area, who specializes in attire for Frenchies and other suitable models. Patch has been invited to a photo shoot tomorrow. Stay tuned for lots of Gatsby and Bella pictures.
