Chicago Tribute Band, T-Bone Perform at Easton's Beach This Week

If you were born between 1970 and 1990, you probably listened to gobs of Chicago whether you were one of the millions who bought their albums or not.

With a steady stream of top hits since the 1970s and 40 million albums sold, many of their pioneering rock ballads with soaring guitar solos are instantly recognizable to anyone who has walked past a radio at least once or twice in their lives.

And if there ever was a place to bask in the glow of the soft but grandiose sound it would be at Easton’s Beach in Newport. As it turns out, tonight (July 28), Chicago Total Access, a Chicago tribute band, will perform at 6 p.m. on the boardwalk.

The latest Family Night concert sponsored by the Newport Parks and Recreation Department is free, open to the public and sponsored by Heatherwood Nursing Center.

On Thursday, T-Bone will be at Easton’s Beach for a free Children’s Night performance at 6 p.m.

That performance is made possible with funding provided by the Rhode Island Foundation.
