Children's Workshop: Habitat Hike

An assortment of animals call Ballard Park home. Children will learn why animals choose to live in certain areas of the park based on their food and shelter needs through a habitat scavenger hunt that takes them into a forest, along a vernal pond and through a meadow. Hands-on lessons will be taught while walking the thirteen acre nature preserve. The class is best suited for children 7 to 12 years old. Younger and older siblings welcome. $5 per student.
