Plumb said he closes the restaurant every year during the same week for general maintenance repairs that the restaurant can't have fixed overnight or during the busy summer months. Brick Alley always closes Super Bowl Sunday and reopens for dinner the following Friday, he said.
Past projects made during the renovation week were converting the game room into what is now the back dining room and converting a retail shop into truck space.

“Now that we don't expand as much we just want to make sure it looks nice and fresh. We always want to make everything look brand new,” Plumb said.
Brick Alley will open just in time for Valentine's Day, which is a busy day for the restaurant, especially when one of the biggest date nights of the year falls on a weekday.
“When [Valentine's Day] falls on a weekday it's an added bonus,” he said.
