Cox customers will soon be able to enjoy WiFi in select spots in Newport.
The new service, which will cover upper and lower Thames Street, is available to Cox customers and city officials along with company representatives will celebrate the new service with a ceremony on Thursday in Queen Anne Square.
The hotspots are part of a national network of 400,000 similar hotspots, Cox said in an informational pamphlet. The service is available to Cox customers as well as customers of Comcast, Time Warner, Bright House and Optimum.

To log in, you’ll need to select CoxWiFi or CableWiFi and sign in with your Cox username and password.
