NEWPORT, RI—IYRS is hosting a free lecture, which is part of Design Week RI and is open to the public. High-tech innovation is rapidly reshaping the modern learning community. And with this, delivering a high quality educational experience is different today. At IYRS, our students engage in making high-caliber 3-dimensional objects at scale. Drawing from the principles of traditional craft and driven by modern technology and design, IYRS facilitates a learning community that affords failure, critique, iteration, collaboration, and inspiration. It is experiential learning by design. Learn how the IYRS team designed the 9-month Digital Modeling & Fabrication program curriculum to do just that.
